The Excelsior Springs Fire Department was kept busy overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, battling three different fires at various locations around town.
The worst blaze was the first of the evening. According to Deputy Fire Chief Paul Tribble, a call about a house on fire at 906 Ellsworth St., near Siloam Mountain Park, came in shortly before midnight.
That house was obliterated by the fire, but firefighters had barely wrapped up their work there before they were called back out to another fire at 420 Beverly Ave. right around 2 a.m.
And if that wasn't enough, around 6 a.m. the alarms rang again -- this time for a third fire at 403 Old Orchard Ave.
